As an English instructor and American history buff, I found "Isaac-Trek to King's Mountain" to be truly well-researched. This was a fascinating read tracking year-old Isaac Hunt and his mile walk over the wilderness to fight in one of the most important battles of the American Revolution/5.

A great book which measures up to that expectation is J. Wayne Fears’s Isaac: Trek to King’s Mountain. It’s the fictional story of a mountain man and a year-old boy who are fated to fight side-by-side in the true life battle of King’s Mountain in the Revolutionary War.

This was a great story for people that love war stories and are history buffs. My husband loved this book, but my mind wandered quite a bit/5(). The book is an excellent and valuable resource for any student of history but the entire volume reads like a modern-day bestseller, quite an accomplishment for any writer in the midth century.
